This is a large side quest of the mystery type. Players can pick up this task by going to Tan City; it is triggered automatically upon arriving there. If you have already triggered it, you can check the task list. When triggering the line, you can bring two companions, Ye Fei and Lu Xian'er. Note that to proceed with this task, you need to clear all other tasks in Tan City first.

Next, enter the main plot. After finishing the plot at the entrance of Tan City, go to the Beggar Gang headquarters, complete the dialogue, then move to the right to see Li Yuanxing. After talking to him, the task will change: Do not talk to him directly now, or the task will end immediately. So, we won't talk to him yet. The Beggar Gang headquarters will trigger a segment of the plot. Afterward, go to the inn to find the waiter. On the left side of the map, there's Nanyu Village. Near the mine, there's an NPC called Jade Uncle. At this point, we need to go to Man Yin Forest to get something. Look at the bottom left of the map; you can go around through Wudang Sect to avoid being intercepted by guards. In Man Yin Forest, you can collect gold ore, dangshen (a type of herb), and other items. Defeating monsters can also drop some herbs and gems. Note that there are some treasure chests here, just below the entrance. Outside the chest is the item we need for the task, but there's an NPC who gives the item to someone else. There's also an easter egg with Sister Shang here, don't miss out on collecting dangshen.

Return to the mine and talk to Jade Uncle again. He will give you a new task to go to Tianming Village. In Tianming Village, there's also a treasure chest on this map. Climb the ladder on the left side of the entrance to the roof and then come down to get it. Then, go left into the Purple Bamboo Forest, where you can trigger a plot and ultimately obtain a letter.

After completing the above series of tasks, there are still some small side quests. At this point, return to the Beggar Gang headquarters, bring Ye Fei and challenge Hou Ji alone to trigger hidden plots. Go to Wu Tianliu to pick up the task, put Bai Jin in the team, and there will be a hidden plot. Talk to Ouyang Xiangong, then go back to Wu Tianliu to complete the task. Then, find Zuo Jianglong in the Purple Bamboo Forest for a conversation, and then go to the lake area to find Liu Xuan. Put Lu Xian'er in the team to trigger a hidden plot, and then you can go back to Zuo Jianglong to complete the task and receive some rewards.
