You need to defeat the monkey and retrieve the wooden sword, then comfort the frightened Jiang Xiaotong before returning to Jiang Yinfeng's house. At this point, Jiang Yinfeng teaches you a set of basic inner skills. Open the martial arts interface, use the martial arts points obtained from defeating the monkey to upgrade this set of inner skills, thus initially enhancing your strength.
After some time, talking to Jiang Yinfeng again, she informs you that to neutralize the poison in your body, you need to find two medicinal herbs: Angelica dahurica and Lobelia chinensis. A few days later, you wake up from unconsciousness, only to find that Jiang Yinfeng has unfortunately passed away, and Jiang Xiaotong is nowhere to be found. From the village chief, you learn that Jiang Xiaotong may have been taken to Luo Village. Determined to find Jiang Xiaotong, you head east from Wutong Village and enter Luo Village.

After forming a team, head down the fork in the road to get a mysterious box, then move eastward together. On the way, you can first go to the inn to find Bai Jin and spar with him. Afterward, follow him back to Wanzi Mountain to eliminate the remaining bandits. After the battle, you can choose one item, such as weapons or jewelry, to take with you.
Back in Luo Village, Bai Jin tells you that you can find him in Luying Forest, and then he leaves for that place. By giving him gifts, you can increase his affection to 60, thereby inviting him to join your team. When you finally reach Daoist Qingxu, you can indicate that you are a friend of Jiang Yinfeng.
