After defeating the poison master and obtaining the toad coat, it becomes a key item to advance the plot. When returning to Pingkang City to report back, Wang Yuanwai's conspiracy is exposed, and the player needs to work with Shangguan Hong to defeat his henchmen. Upon completing the task, not only does it unlock 20 points of affinity with Shangguan Hong, but it also temporarily keeps her in the Pingkang City area, laying the foundation for future interactions. Daily, one can increase affinity by purchasing gifts such as tea from the pawnshop. When affinity reaches 40 points, the side quest Light Song on the Barge unlocks automatically.

At 70 points of affinity, the Bai Di Sword Artifact mission, a key node in Shangguan Hong's storyline, is triggered.
