Tomorrow's Ark: Endfield is a new work in the Tomorrow series brought to you by Hypergryph, which has sparked a lot of enthusiasm among players since its announcement. The biggest point of interest is the standalone version of Tomorrow's Ark: Endfield. Although the game itself does contain some elements that could be played solo, it actually hasn't released such a version. The game focuses on an online open-world RPG experience, centered around planetary exploration and the immersive experience of deciphering civilizations. Let me introduce you to more details.

The story of Endfield moves away from the main world of Terra in Arknights, instead focusing on the distant planet of Talos II. This planet once nurtured a highly developed old-world civilization but was plunged into collapse due to a mysterious cataclysm: cities turned into ruins, the natural environment became alienated, and surviving life either mutated into dangerous creatures or hid in enclosed outposts barely surviving. Players take on the role of an employee of Endfield Industries, hired to carry out a "resource exploration" mission on Talos II, only to gradually become entangled in the secrets of the old world as they explore.

Different from the "tower defense strategy" that Arknights is known for, Endfield is an open-world action RPG. Players can freely travel through the diverse scenes of Talos II: from the desert ruins swept by sandstorms to the overgrown, alienated forests, from the abandoned "old world cities" to the polar laboratories covered in snow and ice. Each area has unique environmental mechanisms (such as sandstorms in the desert affecting visibility, vines in the forest hindering movement) and hidden content (such as the buried old world databases, forgotten NPC outposts). The core gameplay revolves around "exploration - combat - story," with players needing to gather resources, upgrade equipment, and develop characters to tackle increasingly complex challenges.

Players can drive exploration vehicles to move quickly across the desert or walk into the forest to find hidden resource points (such as ore, plant samples, relics from the old world). These resources are not only used to upgrade equipment (like modifying a simple rifle into an electromagnetic gun with elemental damage) but can also be traded with NPCs at outposts to obtain story clues or special items.

Returning to the most pressing issue for players about a standalone/offline version, currently, Endfield has not released such a version, and players need to be online to experience the full content of the game. However, this does not diminish the appeal of the game — as an open-world expansion of the Arknights series, Endfield offers a completely new experience with the vast expanse of Talos II.
