Recently, the second phase of recruitment for the test of HeteroRing is underway. Many players who wish to participate in the test are also concerned about whether their device configurations meet the requirements. The official has announced the test configuration for HeteroRing in the latest FAQ. Below, I will briefly explain and discuss the game's configuration requirements. Since this test will be conducted on both PC and mobile ends, we'll address them separately.

For PCs, it is recommended to use a 64-bit Windows 10 system. For the processor, it is suggested to have an Intel 12th generation i7, which can better handle complex scenes, computations, and effect loading. The minimum requirement is a 10th generation i7 processor, which can maintain basic stable operation, but may struggle slightly in high-load combat or plot scenes.

In terms of graphics cards, due to the high-quality visuals of HeteroRing, it is recommended to use a dedicated graphics card at the RTX3060 level, ensuring stable frame rates and detailed visual performance even under high special effects settings. The GTX1660 is the lowest tier that can run the game, but you would need to appropriately reduce the picture quality and resolution settings, and expect potential frame drops and loading delays in some scenes.

The memory requirement is also not low, with a recommendation of 32GB or more of RAM to ensure smooth system operation during large map transitions, complex cutscenes, and multiplayer battles, which are high-resource-consuming activities. Of course, if your device only has 16GB of RAM, you can still play the game, but it is advised to close some background programs.

The mobile end also has relatively high configuration requirements. It is recommended to use devices equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or Gen 3 processors, which are currently top-tier and near-top-tier chips, providing better graphic processing capability and stability. The minimum supported model is the Snapdragon 855, where the visual quality and smoothness will naturally be reduced, with many simplifications. As for the RAM of mobile devices, the minimum requirement is 6GB, and it is recommended to use devices with 8GB or more for a more stable experience.

This concludes the introduction to the test configuration for HeteroRing. I would like to emphasize that for the mobile end, using a lower configuration phone might lead to frequent crashes or overheating issues, as Unreal Engine 5 consumes a lot of device performance, especially noticeable in the complex scenes of an open world. Regarding the size of the game installation package and the required storage space, the official has not yet provided specific data; we will know more when pre-download becomes available.
