Entering the game, many friends want to experience the ability of flying mounts, to make their map running and monster fighting more efficient. However, they do not know how to unlock the flying mount in Final Fantasy 14 Crystal World. Below is a share of the unlocking method, so that everyone can explore the map faster, complete various tasks, and have a more relaxed gaming experience. Don't miss this article if you are interested.

First, as the main storyline progresses, you will gradually unlock the "mounts" and "Aether Currents" features. To enable flight for your mount, you need to collect Aether Currents on a map. After collecting all the Aether Currents on one map, you will unlock the ability to fly with your mount on that map, allowing you to run maps and fight monsters more efficiently.

Finding Aether Currents is also very simple. Open the map from the upper right corner of the main interface, then click on the Aether Current icon. You will see the number of Aether Currents divided by different cities on each map. As shown in the figure below, you can see that there are 8 in La Noscea. Once we successfully find them, the markers will light up, and any missing ones will be indicated as empty.

After confirming the number on the map, while exploring or doing quests in the wild, clicking on the Aether Current icon will tell you the direction and approximate distance to the nearest Aether Current. When you get close to the Aether Current, the icon will change through three stages, as shown in the figure below, as the distance decreases.

When within 30 meters, not only will there be a clear green wave, but you can also hear the sound of wind. At this point, you should be able to find the Aether Current almost immediately, and then proceed to resonate with it. If you find that you are very close but cannot locate it, it might be due to terrain or vertical level obstructions. In this case, try rotating your view; if there is a high place, climb up and take a look.

This guide on how to unlock flying mounts in Final Fantasy 14 Crystal World ends here. The above not only explains the conditions for unlocking, but also teaches how to collect Aether Currents. Now that you've learned, why not go into the game and give it a try, unlock this feature to speed up your map exploration efficiency.
