Soul Traveler, as a strategy idle game, has a rich combat system, but it can be challenging for newcomers. Therefore, the game includes a training camp (trial) to help players get up to speed faster. So, how do you pass the intermediate trial in Soul Traveler? The trials in the game are divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels, with the advanced level not yet available. The beginner level is not very challenging, so this guide focuses on the intermediate level, providing some guidance.

Preamble:
The intermediate trial is unlocked after completing the main story chapter 9-40. It consists of 9 stages, each granting 300 diamonds upon completion. These stages do not require much combat power; instead, they focus more on mechanics, somewhat like solving puzzles. Once you understand the mechanics, passing through them becomes easy. There are also hints provided, so it's best to take the time to read them carefully, making it easier to clear the stages. During the preparation phase of each stage, there is a "tutorial" button that can be viewed. Additionally, it is recommended not to use fast-forward or auto-skill release during the trials, as some operations need to be manually released to complete.

Elemental Reaction 1:
The key to this stage is to use the "Vaporize" elemental reaction to prolong the survival time of the front row. Place the Forest Lord in the middle row to avoid being ambushed by the werewolf. During the battle, release skills immediately once their cooldowns are ready, especially the little fire dragon's skill, which needs to be manually aimed to cover as many enemies as possible, prioritizing the werewolf. Combine the Forest Lord's ice attribute ultimate with the little fire dragon's fireball to create the "Vaporize" reaction, significantly reducing the enemy's hit rate. This allows the Forest Lord to dodge attacks multiple times, thus lasting long enough to eliminate the werewolf and reduce the health of the two dwarf warriors. Even if the Forest Lord falls, the remaining enemies can be easily cleaned up.

Elemental Reaction 2:
This stage requires using the "Blast" elemental reaction to instantly deal massive damage and eliminate the enemy's back row. Place the Shadow Warrior in the first or third column of the back row, avoiding the center route to prevent being blocked by the treant. The key is to trigger the Shadow Warrior's "Weakness Capture" skill after stacking 4 basic attacks, reducing the target's physical defense, and then quickly follow up with the Shadow Warrior's ultimate and the little fire dragon's fireball to burst down the back row core.

Elemental Reaction 3:
In this stage, use the "Chill" reaction to slow down the enemy's attack speed and interrupt their skills. Do not immediately release the Radiant Element's ultimate; instead, wait until the skill name appears above King Arthur's head, then release it to interrupt the enemy's AoE attack, protecting your middle-row dwarf mage. Afterward, as soon as the dwarf mage's ultimate is off cooldown, directly target King Arthur, combining the interruption to turn the tide of battle.

Feral State:
This stage has a simple rhythm, with the key being to choose the right healing character before the battle. During the fight, as soon as the healer and the little green dragon's skills are off cooldown, immediately use them on the Minotaur. As long as the Minotaur does not fall, the victory is almost guaranteed.

Magic Awakening 1:
The Catgirl Assassin excels at cutting into the back row. Position her on the right side before the battle to bypass the front-row goblin warriors and directly target the Centaur Spearman. Use the Catgirl's ultimate to kill and reset the skill cooldown, sequentially eliminating Centaur 2, Treant 1, Treant 2, and Centaur 3. Pair this with the Serpent Demon's ultimate for control, and plan the skill release order carefully to achieve efficient harvesting.

Magic Awakening 2:
Use the Catgirl's initial ultimate to instantly kill Dwarf Gunner 1, followed by the Treant's ultimate for protection. Then, use the Catgirl's second ultimate to kill Dwarf Gunner 2, and have the little blue dragon release its level 5 energy ultimate to deal heavy damage to all enemies. Finally, clean up the remaining enemies based on the situation. The Catgirl's multiple ultimate resets are crucial.

Blessed State:
The core of this stage is to successfully activate and maintain the "Blessed State," which requires both Morale and Fighting Spirit. Place the Archangel in the middle of the middle row, close to the Stone Golem, so that the Light Dragon's ultimate buff covers both. When releasing the Light Dragon's ultimate, manually drag to select the skill area, ensuring both the Archangel and the Stone Golem are within the buff range, enhancing both output and resistance simultaneously.

Necrotic Whisper:
The key to this stage is the "Beyond the Shore" formation's "Last Words" mechanism. Since the Phantom Spirit Energy is fixed at 4 points and cannot be replenished, the Archangel must maximize its value. The little Wraith Dragon's ultimate summons a small dragon that quickly dies to stack Last Words, and the Archangel then uses its ultimate to consume Last Words and increase damage. The release order must be correct, waiting for the small dragon to die before using the ultimates, and both are AoE skills, requiring manual selection of all enemies to ensure maximum coverage.

Phantom Assault:
At the start, do not immediately use the Phantom Spirit Energy. First, let the little Dark Dragon act, increasing the energy consumption burden for all enemies. Then, manually select the range for Medusa's ultimate, ensuring it hits all enemies before releasing it, achieving full control and creating space for your team to deal damage.
That concludes the introduction to the 9 stages of the intermediate trial in Soul Traveler. The key is to understand and cleverly utilize the design of each faction's mechanics. Mastering each reaction and class characteristic makes it easy to pass. While called a trial, it is more like a guided tutorial.
