How to Complete the Dragon's Breath Divine Silence Curse Binder Quest: A Quick Guide

The Cursed Binder quest in Dragon's Breath: Divine Silence is a side mission that has stumped many players, featuring high-burst boss battles and rune puzzles. In the following, I will bring you a guide to the Cursed Binder quest in Dragon's Breath: Divine Silence. The quest line is hidden near the Abandoned Blood Altar on the map of Southern Edasia. To trigger it, you need to first complete the main quest of purifying three altars and obtain the Faded Rune. Many people miss the step of talking to the old man at the camp three times, resulting in not being able to trigger the quest after wandering around for a long time. Let's take a look at it now!

Actually, the difficulty of this quest lies in the boss's combo attacks that can instantly kill and the sequence of the rune mechanism. However, as long as you understand the mechanics, even a common team can get through. First, make sure you have progressed to the Southern Edasia chapter in the main story, where a purple question mark (side quest indicator) will appear on the map. Talk to the scholar in gray robes at the camp three times to get the Tattered Tome. After obtaining the spell book, use a fire skill to ignite the brazier in the center of the altar, summoning the phantom of the Cursed Binder. If you cannot defeat it, you can go and farm a set of curse resistance runes, which can reduce the boss's continuous damage debuff. Make sure to have at least one purification support in your team, like the Spirit Wind Priest, otherwise, the healer won't be able to heal back from the curse.

The Cursed Binder has three phases: Phase 1: Normal attacks deal poison damage, just dodge the red circle ground spikes. Phase 2: At 70% HP, four rune pillars are summoned, which must be activated in the order of "Fire - Wind - Water - Lightning" (look at the number of engravings on the pillars). Activating them in the wrong order triggers an all-screen lightning attack. Phase 3: At 30% HP, it goes berserk with doubled attack speed. Actually, you can get through without SSRs. Use the given Rock Shield Giant as the main tank, stacking life and defense runes, and only upgrade taunt and shield skills. Choose a healer with a purification skill upgraded to level 3 to remove debuffs. The last position should be filled by the Time Sage to accelerate skill cooldowns, providing shields at critical moments to save lives.

There are four interactive statues at the edge of the arena. Before the battle, activate them all (costs 10 magic crystal shards). During the fight, before the boss uses its ultimate move, the statues will glow, and standing close to them grants a 3-second invincibility buff, allowing you to survive the boss's powerful attacks. For the puzzle in phase 2, if you find it challenging, directly use the Time Sage to stop time and carefully count the number of engravings. In phase 3, when the boss goes berserk, lure it to the trap area in the center of the arena (where there are cracks on the ground), and let it step on them while you focus on dealing damage, which can save half the time.

This quest tests flexible mechanics, and simply stacking stats can easily lead to failure. If your DPS is insufficient, go and farm a set of crit + attack speed runes (dropped from the Ancient Battlefield Ruins), and it will be much easier when you come back.
