In the upcoming 1.6 version of Zenless Zone Zero, a new S-rank character named Amber is being introduced, which can be considered as an S-rank version of the A-rank character Amber from the initial release, known as Zero Amber. So, how good is Zero Amber in Zenless Zone Zero? Is she worth drawing? Below, we will explain Zero Amber's skill mechanism and discuss the unique mechanisms that this character can pair with, to help you build a team around her.

Big Amber is an Electro-elemental main DPS character, typical of a standing field type. Her primary method of dealing damage is by stacking Silver Star marks (commonly known as "beans") on enemies through normal attacks, up to three layers. Then, by tapping the special skill, she can unleash an extra attack, triggering an additional attack damage.

The core mechanism of Big Amber lies in this additional attack. Her key passive skill increases the critical hit damage for enemies that have been marked with beans when they receive the additional attack. Therefore, Big Amber not only serves as the main DPS of the team but also provides a critical hit damage bonus for the entire team during the additional attack, meaning she functions both as a main DPS and a support role that boosts damage.

The pursuit team in the 1.6 version is built around this mechanism, with Big Amber at its core, to maximize the utilization of the critical hit damage bonus provided by her additional attacks.

She can provide extra critical hit damage and attack bonuses to two other pursuit-type teammates, and paired with backline coordination attack characters like Trigger and Pokona, it creates a scenario where there is a "three-person simultaneous output," meaning while Amber is fighting on the field, the two backline characters continuously deal damage through coordinated attacks.

In this way, Big Amber's two passive skills can cover the entire team, allowing all three members to enjoy the bonuses. While she outputs damage, she can significantly enhance her teammates' damage, which is the core gameplay of the Amber pursuit team. Thus, Zero Amber in Zenless Zone Zero is quite strong and is a core character in a new system playstyle, making her worth drawing.
