Replaying the Golden Legend side quests is something many people are interested in, as completing them can earn you various rare resources and items. These tasks will be encountered in the first 14 levels, providing some assistance to the main adventure. Although these side quests are not difficult to complete, some of them can be quite hidden and cumbersome, making it hard for new players to get through. To help everyone smoothly complete these quests and obtain the resources, I will share the entire process for each side quest below.
Ⅰ. Level 1
First, go to the trade area of Tree Heart City and buy a Magic Potion; a small bottle will suffice. Then, head to the cellar on Level 1, where there's a villager. When talking to him, make sure to choose the option about the goblins outside being too numerous to clear. If you choose that it's safe outside, he will die, resulting in a loss of reputation, which is very important early on. After the conversation, give him the potion you bought to complete the task. Additionally, it's best to collect 10 Goblin Bones here, as they will be useful later.
Ⅱ. Level 2
Find the Bat Catcher shown in the picture and talk to him. He will ask you to bring him bat wings. Accept the quest and then kill 7 bats on this level before returning to him to complete the task.
Ⅲ. Level 3
Talk to Amy. This is another monster hunting task on this level. The required monsters are Bloodfang, Forest Grey Wolf, and Brown Bear. Collect all of them and talk to her again to complete the task and learn more about her story, gaining key information for other quests.
Ⅳ. Level 4
There are three side quests on Level 4. The first one requires you to talk to the Scholar and give him the 10 hand bones collected from Level 1. Then, talk to him again and kill monsters on this level to collect 10 Fallen Hand Bones. For the second quest, talk to the NPC shown in the picture, kill the rare mini-boss on this level to get 5 Wild Steel Grass, and submit it to complete the quest. The third quest involves interacting with the bulletin board, going to the dungeon on this level, and fighting the red fireball to complete it. Afterward, give the hammer you obtained to Kashya, which also unlocks the magic item shop.
Ⅴ. Level 5
First, go to the wandering merchant on the beach and then head left. Talk to the bald man to accept a quest, kill the mermaids on the beach, and collect 10 fish oils to complete it. Then, go right and enter the cave. Talk to the bald man inside to accept the Lost Necklace quest. Go to the Frost Cavern, enter, and talk to Peter on the left. Kill the bats in the cavern to get 10 Frost Herbs, and deliver them to complete the second part. Proceed straight to the third layer of the cavern. Once there, go down, then turn right to extinguish the first torch shown in the picture. Continue down to extinguish the second torch, and then move to the right of the torches. There is a corpse here; interact with it to obtain the necklace and trigger a battle. After winning, return to the bald man and give him the necklace.
Ⅵ. Level 6
Upon entering Level 6, go to the lower left to find Liu She, who needs 20 Sunflowers. These drop from the Fallen Ones on Level 4, so just submit them. Follow the path indicated by the arrows in the picture to reach a hidden location. A battle will take place here, and your mana bars will be emptied before the fight. If you're playing with a mage team, you should consider changing your lineup.
Ⅶ. Level 7
Go to the pit shown in the picture and talk to the Scholar. Watch a cutscene, then interact with the grass next to him to trigger the Past Memories quest. Talk to the Scholar again to complete it. Next, go to the upper right of this level and talk to the Druid to start the next side quest. You need to learn the recipe for the Calming Potion, and the materials can be obtained by killing monsters on this level. Craft it in the menu and then give it to the Druid.
Ⅷ. Level 8
Go to the upper left corner of the map and talk to the Desert Alchemist to accept the quest. This quest has two stages. The first stage requires 5 Giant Turtle Saliva, which can be obtained by killing the Giant Turtle Boss. There's a tip: there will always be one Giant Turtle Boss in the dungeon. The second stage requires 10 Sandthorn Flowers, which can be obtained by defeating the rare boss, the Undying. Submitting all the items will reward you with an important ring.
